The mighty dragon, Lðröthrían
Lðröthrían, one of the spawn of Halönrí, is a mighty dragon that was known to terrorize the Norse people and towns on the mountains and the ocean's edge. It is said that the Norse God, Loki, locked the creature into a mountain of ice. But, according to legend, the mountain will crumble and the dragon will continue his path of destruction during Ragnarök. It is said that he will destroy all towns to the West of the mountains. Unable to reach the other side, he will cause avalanches that will destroy the villages that are East of the mountains. The legend states that he will fight the Norse Ravenhölon. It is also said that he will be struck down by Fafílögg during the maddness.
