Constructed Mythology

Faerie[]

Faerie is an Otherworld of magic hidden from Earth, but connected to it through entrance points such as faerie circles, faerie doors, the Bermuda Triangle, etc. It is the home of many magical creatures known as fae or faeries, as well as magnificent cities. It is related to Kintaria but generally considered separate and older, having existed since it was Valinor in the beginning of time.

History[]

The Creation[]

At the beginning of time, God created the universe. He settled in Heaven and created Earth. His creations were Angels, Humans, Faeries, and all types of animals, including magical ones.

The War of Heaven and the Creation of Hell[]

One of the Archangels, Lucifer, thought he was proud enough to have Heaven and the Universe for himself. One-third of the angels sided with him, and they planned to overthrow God. The evil angels and Lucifer battled the remaining Archangels: Gabriel, Michael, and Raziel. Michael managed to defeat Lucifer and him, along with his followers, were banished from Heaven and fell to the Underworld, where they created the dimension of Hell as demons. According to some versions of myth, faeries came from angels who where outside of heaven when the gates closed and where trapped, but weren’t wicked enough to become demons.

Lilith[]

Lilith, the first wife of Adam, left him after having a terrible arguement. She became a demon and fed on children. The angels were able to defeat her, and she left and had children with demons, thus creating many demons such as the vampiric sex demons known as the Succubi and Incubi, or the Lilim in Mesopotamian myth, who are said to be her children with Satan. The incubi and succubu are said to reproduce with humans and the hybrids are Demonicans known as Cambions. Her descendants from the human children she had with Adam are said to be witches and warlocks.

The Golden and Silver Ages[]

Greek historian Hesiod recognized many ages of humanity that had come before the Great Flood. The first two were the Golden and Silver Ages. The Golden Age or Garden of Eden people were essentially godlike and immortal. They are sometimes considered to have been androgynous beings with two heads and both male and female parts before Zeus separated them from their other half to make them less powerful(this is the origin of soulmates or twin flames). Whether they were actual physical Home Sapiens or just spirits isn’t entirely clear, but either way their spirits continue to exist to this day and are associated with faerie mythology.

The Silver Age people were definitely flesh and blood human beings like us, but lived extremely long lives without aging. When they died, they became ‘Blessed Spirits’ of the Underworld or Otherworld.

The Flood[]

Before God flooded the world, humans and angels had children, the Nephilim, the original demonicans or demi-gods. They are sometimes considered giants but the Bible doesnt make entirely clear whether they were actually giant. The Great Flood was meant to wipe them out but they may have continued to survive and become the faeries of myth and folklore.

Tuatha De Danann, Alfar, and High Fae[]

The Tuatha De Danann, or the Folk of the Goddess Danu, were a tribe of godlike beings who inhabited Ireland in prehistoric times, after defeating their more evil counterparts the Fomorians. Later, they were defeated by the Milesians, aka the ancient Celts and ancestors of Irish people. After being defeated, they retrteated into the land of Faerie and were connected to Ireland through Sidhe, or faerie mounds. Eventually they themselves began to be referred to as the Sidhe.

Before coming to Ireland and defeating the Fomorians, the Tuatha De Danann where said to come from beautiful cities in the north, in a land that is thought to be Norway. This connects them to the Norse being known as the alfar, or elves. The alfar where said to inhabit alfheim, or Elfhame as it was known in Middle English, which is ruled by a Vanir god known as Frey. The distinction between the Vanir and the Alfar isn’t entirely clear in Norse Mythology, and they are thought to potentially be the same being since there isn’t much information on the Vanir except that they where fertility and nature gods. The Vanir fought a war with the Aesir, who won which would possibly explain many of the Vanir fleeing south and becoming the gods/Tuatha de Danann of the various Celtic mythologies.

These beings make up what today is often called the High Fae, Elves, or High Elves. They are the ruling class of Faerie and are the most human-like, although they are far more beautiful and talented than any human as well as being immortal(or at least close to immortal).

The Great Slaying[]

Many years later, people came up with the idea that all wizards and magical creatures were wicked. Those accused of being witches/warlocks, wizards/sorcerers, werewolves, vampires, etc were executed. Although, these men were partly right. Magic can be used for evil. The Great Slaying was also the time in which warlocks, a type of evil wizard/sorcerer, prospered. After the Slaying, some wizards, witches, vampires, sorcerers, and other magical humans/human-like beings went to Faerie, where the faeries lived after the Milesians invaded Ireland.

Wizards are given the choice to go to a wizard academy. The academies on Academy Island are Blackmist, Greenmist, and Redmist. Redmist Shadows is connected to Redmist where houses and campus homes are placed.

Wars[]

Two current wars are happening in Faerie, the Faerie Civil War and the Vampire Civil War. In July, the War of the Heirs will start in which Jesse and Brandon Villegas, the Heirs of Merlin and Morgan le Fay, will engage in battle with their allies: Brandon's army of goblins and dark sprites, and Jesse's army of wizards and werewolves, including Kaelan Mullins, Ethan Rogers, Joey Whitmire, Knox Wallace, Jake Huff, and Jackson Phipps. The werewolves on Brandon's side include Dakota Dodson, his mate Keesha, and Randy Byrd.

Faerie is separated into the Seelie and Unseelie Courts which have always been at civil war with eachother, although there are multiple smaller courts besides these two, which are usually aligned with one side. There is a High Court of Faerie or Elfhame which rules over most of the other courts, but wars between them still happen.
