Dorothea 'Dot' Garland Gale is a character in the World of the Hourglass. She was transported to the Land of Oz via a tornado, where she amassed fame by slaying the Wicked Witches of the East and West.

Appearance[]

Dot is a petite, fair-skinned girl with brown hair tied into braids, her eyes a sparkling blue and freckles across her nose. According to Ella, she is the physical embodiment of the southern belle, especially when she wears her signature gingham dress. Dot has a burn scar on her rib ever since youth, where she became victim to a house fire.

History[]

Dorothea Gale lost her mother to childbirth, and lost her father to suicide. She was then sent to live with her father's brother and his wife in the dusty wastes of Kansas, where she worked on the family farm.

When she was fifteen, Dot was abducted by a magical cyclone which deposited her in the Land of Oz, the farmhouse the tornado swept up landing upon Austra, the Wicked Witch of the East. Locaste, the Good Witch of the North, meets Dot and grants her Austra's ruby shoes, which summons the enraged Vestra (the Wicked Witch of the West).
